Yes. The special neodymium magnets used in our sensor possess the pulling force to remain rigidly attached to the casing even under heavy machine vibration. This rigidity ensures vibration data (acceleration and velocity) is measured without loss or interference.
Quite the opposite. Our magnetic base is smoothed to ensure maximum contact area with metal surfaces. This allows heat from the machinery casing to be conducted rapidly to the energy-harvesting unit (TEG), synthesizing the energy needed for batteryless operation in seconds.
It can adhere magnetically to all surfaces containing iron and steel (ferromagnetic). For machinery with aluminum or stainless steel casings, we recommend our ViBT-es-S/C versions.
No. The sensor's calibration is performed taking the magnetic attachment characteristics into account. Data precision is 99%+ identical to bolted mounting and is fully validated for measurements in line with ISO 10816 standards.
The neodymium magnets used in ViBT-es-Magnet are of industrial temperature resistance class. There is no loss in magnetic pull up to 105°C, which is the operating limit of the device.
