From Traditional Diagnostics to Real-Time Insight: Discover VaRoM
Conventional valve monitoring methods in diesel and HFO engines rely heavily on manual inspections, compression tests, and audible diagnostics. These approaches are reactive and limited—often only detecting issues after serious damage has occurred.
In a typical setup, two technicians are required to inspect valve movement visually or through indirect indicators such as cylinder pressure loss. Unfortunately, these methods cannot provide real-time data, especially from inside the engine during operation. Valve seizure or breakage often leads to catastrophic failures, damaging pistons, cylinder heads, and turbochargers—resulting in lengthy downtime and high repair costs.
