From Critical Failures to Continuous Insight: Discover LiTeM
In traditional power plant operations using internal combustion engines, liner temperature anomalies are often detected too late—after damage has already occurred. Problems such as:
- Broken piston rings
- Oil film loss
- Cooling failure
...often lead to overheating, causing cylinder liner scoring, piston seizure, or even total engine shutdown.
Conventional temperature sensors are typically wired and difficult to install inside the engine, especially near hot and moving parts. The maintenance, power supply, and cabling demands of such systems limit their responsiveness and increase the cost of monitoring.
